airBaltic announced it will serve five destinations in Russia during summer 2018, offering travellers from across Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East connections via Riga to the majority of football cities in Russia, for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The airline will continue to offer up to four daily flights to Moscow and St. Petersburg, while also perform regular flights to Kaliningrad, Sochi and Kazan.

Wolfgang Reuss, senior vice president, network management, airBaltic, said, “All of the five destinations will be among the host cities for 2018 FIFA World Cup and the connection via Riga will offer convenient flight options for those who are planning to attend the championship. Offering flights to the biggest European cities and most notable Russian destinations, Riga serves as an excellent gateway to Russia for most Europeans.”
