Volotea Introduce New Marseille – Madeira Route

Spanish low-cost carrier, Volotea, launched a new route linking Cristiano Ronaldo Madeira International Airport, Portugal with France’s Marseille Provence Airport.

Launched on April 12, the flight runs once-a-week, on Thursdays, using a Boeing B717-200, with the capacity to carry 125 passengers.

Carlos Cerqueiro, director, corporate development and communications, Volotea, commented, “We are very excited to launch this route connecting Madeira and Marseille, allowing a direct link with the Provence [region] in France. [They are] two extremely charming regions in Europe, with outstanding attractiveness at both ends, that we are pleased to offer with no stopovers, good travel experiences and competitive prices.”

Duarte Ferreira, director, Madeira Airport, added, “We are very enthusiastic about receiving this new flight from Volotea that connects Madeira to one of the largest and most emblematic French cities. This venture to Madeira leaves us very proud and we will work closely with the airline and all the stakeholders to ensure the success of this new route."
