Aeroflot Begins Direct Flights to Saransk

Russia’s flagship carrier, Aeroflot, launched a service to Saransk, the capital of Russia’s Republic of Mordovia. Saransk will, this summer, welcome fans from around the globe as it is a host city of the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup.

With the launch of service between Moscow and Saransk, Aeroflot’s route map now covers every city where matches will be held.

The inaugural flight on the Moscow -- Saransk route took place on May 01, aboard a Sukhoi SuperJet 100 aircraft.

Aeroflot flies to Saransk twice daily. Flight SU1464 departs Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport at 11:10 and arrives at Saransk Airport at 12:35. Flight SU1466 departs Sheremetyevo at 21:30 and arrives in Saransk at 22:55

Flight SU1467 departs Saransk at 06:00 and arrives at Sheremetyevo at 07:30 while flight SU1465 departs Saransk at 13:35 and arrives at Sheremetyevo at 15:10 (all times local).

The Sukhoi SuperJet 100 is a Russian-made regional jet that accommodates 87 passengers.

Aeroflot is the world's largest operator of the SSJ100, with 42 currently in the fleet.
