First Norwegian Flight at QAIA

The first Norwegian flight was welcomed at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) on May 08, marking the start of bi-weekly flights between Amman and Copenhagen.

Numerous officials were welcomed at the event, including representatives from both Airport International Group (AIG) and Jordan Tourism Board.

This step came as part of AIG’s efforts to accommodate a multitude of passenger needs, and introduces a new route, to Copenhagen, Denmark.

The move paves the way for several more Scandinavian destinations, while partnering with one of the largest low-cost carriers globally, as well as one of the world’s fastest-growing airlines.

Thomas Ramdahl, chief commercial officer, Norwegian, stated, “We are excited to have launched our new route between Amman and Copenhagen, in partnership with QAIA, and look forward to the mutual benefits it will garner for both countries, strengthening economic cooperation and facilitating an influx of tourists to and from these two historically significant cities.”
