Dublin has been named as the host of Velo-city, an international cycling conference series, to be held on June 25 – 28, 2019 at The Convention Centre Dublin.

Organised by the European Cyclists' Federation, the annual summit welcomes experts, policy-makers and social agents as well as representatives of various institutions, with the aim of discussing how to improve policies, planning and provision of infrastructure for cycling and the daily use of bicycles in urban environments.

Dublin previously hosted Velo-city in 2005 and is the first city in the world to be awarded the conference twice.

The upcoming event will be themed Cycling for the Ages, promoting the health, environmental, social and economic benefits of cycling for all.
