According to Hotstats, record RevPAR levels of GBP105.28 (EUR114.39) in July, enabled hotels in the UK to maintain a strong period of top and bottom line growth.

The 4.4 percent year-on-year surge in RevPAR fuelled a 3.8 percent increase in gross operating profit per available room.

Moreover, properties across the country reported a 0.2 percentage point increase in occupancy to 85.3 percent, another record for full-service hotels in the UK.

However, the margin of growth in total RevPAR was limited to three percent, impacted by falling non-rooms revenues including a 1.4 percent drop in food and beverage as well as a four percent decline in conference and banqueting on a per available room basis.
