Poland and Belarus Continue Tourism Collaboration

Poland and Belarus have announced a joint tourism initiative to promote Augustow Canal through a single brand, as well as continue to cooperate on various tourism projects.

The decision is a part of a cross-border 2014-2020 programme between Poland, Belarus and Ukraine, which set the ground for common multiple projects in the areas of culture, education, sport, tourism and medicine.

Viktor Liskovich, deputy chairman, executive committee, Grodno Oblast, explained, “Grodno Oblast maintain ties with the Polish regions not only in economy but also in culture and tourism where we have common interests and goals. The development of the Augustow Canal under the single brand will increase the flow of tourists on both sides of the border.”
