Tourism Ireland Targets German Tourists

Tourism Ireland has kicked off its promotional drive for 2018 in the all-important German market with a TV campaign to be seen by millions of potential holidaymakers.

The campaign will run until mid-February on popular German national and satellite television channels, reaching an estimated 17.2 million viewers. As well as the TV advertisements, a separate online video campaign will reach almost four million people, via popular travel and news websites.

The videos will highlight the wide variety of things to do in Ireland, including the Wild Atlantic Way, Northern Ireland, Ireland’s Ancient East, food, outdoor activities, car touring, Dublin, Belfast and the Waterford Greenway.
Germany is the third-largest market for tourism to Ireland and for this year Tourism Ireland aims to grow German visitor numbers by eight percent.
